About the company.
EVERYANGLE create ComputerVision Apps based on Cisco Smart Camera devices for retail and manufacturing workplaces.
The EVERYANGLE platform allows retailers to really get to know their customers: their age, gender, and generation; where they went, how long they dwelled and if they felt happier after their visit.
When integrated with point of sale data, retailers can access a powerful view of footfall, never seen in previous generations.
The challenge.
When COVID-19 first hit, retailers – particularly supermarkets – had to quickly adapt to incoming restrictions designed above all else to keep customers safe.
EVERYANGLE recognised the need to pivot and adapt their product offering to help these retailers adhere to government guidelines.
They needed a solution that would allow them to take the data they capture using in-store Cisco Smart Cameras and display that data, in real-time, so that supermarket staff could easily see how many people were inside their shops at once and allow more people inside only when it was safe to do so.
The solution.
After recognising a gap in the market for a first-of-its-kind, in-store technology system developed for major food retailers, EVERYANGLE came to Panintelligence after seeing the pi Dashboard featured in the press, in collaboration with global retail technology provider, Flooid (formerly PCMS).
As a developer, Panintelligence has considerable experience in the retail sector. IT group Flooid is a key partner and, through a white-label arrangement, dashboards are used as a BI tool by high street names both in the UK and the US.
The system incorporates a screen that uses the Pi dashboard to display the current number of people in the store and whether it is safe to enter, using data from in-store smart cameras. The screens will be situated in kiosks installed at store entrances that will also dispense hand sanitiser and face-masks.
