ACI ReD’s BI solution shortlisted for Emerging Technology Awards

Leading global provider of fraud prevention and payment services, ReDi recently announced its selection as a finalist in the 2013 MRC Emerging Technology Awards (METAwards) for ReDi, its business intelligence solution.

ReDi, based on the Panintelligence dashboard and Sybase IQ’s database, is a self-service BI portal that enables merchant customers and partners to directly monitor and better understand the efficiency of their fraud detection and prevention operations.

ReDi provides merchants with an up-to-date and historic window on their data, accessed via a simple, quick and intuitive interface that takes the user through layers of information, all the way down to individual transactions in seconds.

Phil Stothard, Director of Business Intelligence and Data at ReD, worked very closely with Panintelligence when developing the solution, which quickly progressed from a prototype to a near-real-time, high interactive solution.

“We quickly turned my ‘sense of the possible’ into a real prototype and deployed this to a US customer and internally within ReD,” said Phil

“The customer was impressed by our speed and our ability to make changes and apply enhancements quickly,

"Linked to a high performance, columnar analytic database – we are using Sybase IQ – performance is stunning. Currently we have over 200m transactions, each with over 450 data items, and all of our interactive dashboards and queries run directly against them with no summarisation,

This fusion of a ‘Big Data’ platform, a powerful GUI and data updates every 2 minutes is exactly what we set out to achieve.”

ReDi's award shortlisting, and increased industry recognition, only one month after its launch, is a huge boost for ReD.

Awarded by the Merchant Risk Council, the MRC METAwards are designed to recognise creative innovations and advanced technologies that have contributed to the commercial and operational success of online and multi-channel merchants, as well as to the all-round benefit of the e-commerce industry.

During the e-Commerce Payments and Risk Conference, taking place in Las Vegas on 28th March, each of the METAward finalists will deliver a short presentation to 1,000 leading e-commerce professionals. The audience will then vote live via mobile text to determine the winner.
