Panintelligence one of Top 50 Fastest Growing Tech Companies in the North
At the Northern Tech Awards 2017, we were delighted to be recognised as one of the fastest growing technology companies in the north. The awards are in their fourth year, and it’s great to enter the Tech 100 League Table for the first time and be in the Top 50.
The success of our unique channel partnership model dedicated to 'Building Remarkable Partnerships' is the main reason for the rapid growth of our business. The number of channel partners has grown; currently 67, up from 25 (2014) and 40 (2015) and our revenue has grown by 132% from 2014 to 2016 - the revenue of the companies represented on the night of the awards topped $2 billion. We met a lot of great tech companies at the awards dinner and heard some great success stories.
Investment advisory firm GP Bullhound and the government-backed tech sector initiative Tech North organised the event to celebrate the fastest growing companies in the north and their success stories.
Commenting on the range of companies at the Northern Tech Awards, Hugh Campbell, Managing Partner of GP Bullhound said:
"After years of huge potential, northern tech companies now command the valuations and deals worthy of international recognition. The tech sector in the North is more robust than ever and high profile transactions will continue establishing the region's reputation as a home for profitable tech companies, a real depth of talent and genuine software innovation."
The “Northern Powerhouse”
There been plenty of scepticism around political rhetoric about "the Northern Powerhouse" (the UK government's buzzphrase for economic development), the growth potential of UK tech firms based outside London is definitely showing a strong upward trend.
Panintelligence is a thriving Leeds-based Business Intelligence software vendor, selling data visualisation software through OEM and Reseller partners. Several partners, across multiple industries, also have a presence in the north, including Capita, Equiniti Pancredit, Linetime, Arena Group and Blue Logic.
Delivering Innovation to Partners
A number of emerging technology sectors that our new and existing partners play in were represented in the Tech 100 list. In EdTech, we're partnered with leading software providers RM Education and Tribal and within HealthTech, Wellbeing and Jayex also integrate our BI software.
Our partners can brand the Panintelligence dashboard as their product, allowing them to quickly bring it to market as their own BI solution, gain competitive advantage and generate additional revenues.
We have built a thriving Sage Reseller channel and established ourselves as the go-to Sage BI solution. Our 25-strong Sage Business Partner community has grown significantly from just 5 in 2014. Within two years of becoming an accredited Sage Development Partner, we were shortlisted for the Sage ISV Partner of the Year Award. In the same year, we won the Sage Innovation award which recognises the innovation and expertise demonstrated by Sage’s Business Partners in creating solutions that add value to Sage’s software.
Our MD, Mike Cripps commented:
We owe this success to having carved out a niche for ourselves by taking our product to market solely through other technology providers, with the focus on building great Partnerships. We have successfully built a presence in established markets including a thriving Sage Reseller channel – the only Sage certified BI solution for Sage 200 and Sage CRM. We place a lot of emphasis on creating an innovative environment but we don’t limit the scope of innovation to the product. We are constantly looking to innovate processes and how we engage with our partners.
First Women in Tech
In Tech North's sector breakdown report, they found that there are only 23 companies with at least 20% of the shareholding owned by women; in ten of these, women own at least half of the company. Panintelligence was one of just three companies highlighted as having a good representation of female members on the board - over 40% (Delete and Redu Group Ltd were the other two). We hope that in subsequent years this number will grow.
Zandra Moore, Sales Director at Panintelligence was recently nominated in the Mentor of the Year category in the First Women Awards, taking place in June. Zandra commented, "I am humbled to be part of such an amazing list of women."
