Sponsoring local rugby - big and small!
At Panintelligence we’re big fans of Super League rugby and long-standing supporters of local team, Leeds Rhinos. For the last few years we’ve also been proud sponsors of Jamie Peacock who is playing his final match at the weekend.
Jamie is a rugby league legend having been picked in the Super League Dream Team this season for a record 11th time. This Saturday is the Super League Grand Final at Old Trafford in Manchester where Leeds Rhinos will be playing against Wigan Warriors.
More than 73,000 tickets have been sold with Leeds Rhinos attempting to secure the treble this year, having already won the Challenge Cup and the League Leaders’ Shield. The club and representatives have also won Club of the Year, Coach of the Year and the Man of Steel Award.
This Grand Final is Jamie Peacock’s last game as a rugby league player as after nearly 20 years playing at the top level he is retiring to pursue a career in management at Hull Kingston Rovers. Two other players are also retiring this year and they all desperately want to finish as Grand Final winners.
Jamie hopes that one of the things he will be remembered for is influencing younger players who are coming up through the ranks and in the spirit of helping the next generation, Panintelligence are also sponsoring Wetherby under 7s rugby team.
In their first tournament last weekend played at Moortown, Wetherby ran out winners with Henry Moore being named player of the tournament. Henry is pictured below showing off his new kit sponsored by Panintelligence.
The unbiased decision to sponsor Wetherby and photographic credit go to proud mum Zandra, Panintelligence’s Sales and Marketing Director! We believe in being active members of our local community and who knows, in a few years’ time Henry or one of his fellow team mates may well follow in the footsteps of the great Jamie Peacock.
